Our WolfPack spirit came alive as we celebrated Homecoming 2018 on Sept. 21. Prior to Friday night’s homecoming festivities, students and staff participated in Spirit Week dress-up days and attended a pep rally on Thursday afternoon, where the Blue Crew energized the crowd and the cheerleaders got everyone “fired up about Backing the Pack" on Friday night.
On Friday, we welcomed alumni back as many attended the alumni barbecue prior to the game. In keeping with tradition, class representatives kicked off the festivities with our Homecoming court parade. The members of the Homecoming court are chosen by their classmates in their grade level as the young ladies they feel best embody the Whitefield mission. This year’s court included:
Freshmen: Caroline Kern and Lilly Phillips
Sophomores: Brooke Bergeron and Alexis Kantor
Juniors: Virginia Herschend, Faith Jones, and Ellie Sutherland
Seniors: Grayce Guthrie, Carson Llewellyn, Keri Quillin, and Shelby Wingate
The Homecoming court was recognized at halftime and Carson Llewellyn was named Miss Whitefield 2018. She was crowned by last year’s Miss Whitefield, Molly Langella. Following the announcement of Miss Whitefield, the marching band performed an amazing show titled “The Incredible Pixar Show” featuring favorite songs from the movies Cars, Up, and Toy Story. The WolfPack varsity football team closed out the evening with a 34-6 win over St. Francis!
