he varsity boys soccer team escaped with a narrow but important area win thanks to hard work from players stepping in to fill in for players out due to injury and illness. The Pack's attack had a 4 to 1 ratio of opportunities on goal but struggled to finish. The sole goal came from a corner kick by William Hellier (11th) finished on a diving header by Stephen Hellier (10th). The Pack's defense stayed strong to deliver the shutout with outstanding saves contributed by keeper John Matherne (10th).
The varsity girls soccer also played a fiercely competitive game agasint Mt. Vernon. The first half ended 0-0. The girls fought and played hard for 80 minutes. Regulation play ended in a 0-0 tie. The girls pushed through two five minute overtime periods with Macy Kendrick making a beautiful cross to Ryan Llewellyn, who put the ball in the back of the net with 1:20 left in overtime. The defense led with Lauren Burke in goal who held the last minute and twenty seconds for the victory.
