On a windy evening in North Georgia, the WolfPack won against the Sequoyah Chiefs, 17-1. The Pack scored early and scored often leading 10-0 at halftime and 16-0 at the end of the third quarter.
Control of the game started at the face-off with the Pack winning 18 of 21 face-offs. Marcus Jones (12th) won 11; Thomas Joiner (9th) won five; and Carter Dixon (10th) won two.
The swarming Pack offense was led by William Charles (11th) with four goals, David Ballew (12th) and Jonathan Wood (10th) with three each, Mitchell Ryan (10th) with two, and Marcus, Carson Brown (10th), Preston Bates (10th), Thomas and Jack Charles (9th) with one goal each. Assists were provided by David with seven, Jonathan with three, Mitchell with two, and Carson with one.
Not to be outdone by the offense, the defense equally exerted its will exemplified by the 35 groundballs won by the team. Carter led the team with eight, followed by Sky DuPree (12th) and Brenner McCutcheon (10th) with four each, Jonathan and Connor Callan (10th) with three, Mitchell and Wills McCutcheon (9th) with two each, and one each by Michael Hebert (12th), David, William, Carson, Thomas, Austin Pruett (9th), KJ Cainion (9th), Myles Rowe (9th) and Joseph Schwartz (9th).
Varsity lacrosse (8-6, 8-4) plays their final regular season game this Friday at 5:30 p.m. in Rome against the Darlington School.
