Congratulations to Kaitlyn Stewart who was selected as one of twelve winners in the 6th annual Southern Teachers Student Art Contest. Kaitlyn’s work was one of twelve pieces selected from 380 submissions to the contest.
“Morris Hall Porch is a delightful piece, and you should be proud of Kaitlyn’s success!” wrote Carey Goodman from the Southern Teacher’s Agency.
The artwork of the twelve winning students will be reproduced in the Southern Teachers Agency art calendar for the 2015-16 academic years. Fifteen thousand calendars will be printed and sent to over 2,000 schools around the country.
Kaitlyn will also receive $50 worth of gift certificates for art supplies, which have generously been provided by Black Art Materials.
Southern Teachers Agency produces that annual calendar because of their commitment to the fine arts. The Agency believes art teachers develop in their students not only an aesthetic sense and technical abilities, but also creativity and imagination, which are essential talents in our ever-changing world.
