After a number of home rain outs, the JV baseball team played on the home field for the first time this season on Tuesday and beat Mt. Pisgah 11-5 to improve their record to 5-1 on the season. The Pack started the game hot, scoring four runs in the first and three runs in the second. Whitefield’s 11-hit attack was led by junior Jake Gilbert (2-3 3RBI) and freshman Luke Persons (2-3).
Freshman Casey Bowman (2IP 0ER 2K), sophomore Jimmy McCarthy (2IP 2ER 1K) and freshman Alex Carver (3IP 2ER 5K), along with tight defense in the field held the Patriot attack in control and the game was never in doubt.
The WolfPack is scheduled to play next at home on Thursday at 5 p,m, against Walker. Come out and support Whitefield baseball!
