Whitefield's Middle School basketball teams had a great night on Monday, December 1, with both the girls team and Blue boys team beating Fellowship Christian.
The Middle School girls team was victorious by a 30-26 margin. The Pack was led in scoring by Shelby Wingate (8th) with 21 total points, including two clutch free throws in the final moments of the game. Hannah White (8th) led the Pack in steals and rebounds. The Pack is now 2-0 heading into Friday and Saturday home games.
The Blue boys team was back in action on Monday, the first day back from Thanksgiving break. Fellowship and Whitefield traded buckets to come out even at the end of the first quarter. But the Pack’s press overwhelmed Fellowship in the second quarter when the WolfPack scored 26 points. Julian Munoz and Pierce Rogers combined for ten steals in the back of the press and contributed to 15 of those 26 points. The Pack entered the second half in foul trouble and had to rely on Caleb Corliss and Collin Richardson for defense in the paint. West Peterson and Kaleb Brooks hit big shots in the fourth quarter to seal this win, 56-40, for the Blue team.
