Congratulations to senior Robby Keough who has been selected to the All-Metro Cross-Country Team by the Atlanta Track Club. The Atlanta Track Club is the second largest running organization in the country with more than 21,000 members. The group provided a $500 scholarship to Robby and the other All-Metro recipients. Forty-two deserving scholastic student athletes, 21 boys and 21 girls, will be named to the First, Second or Third All-Metro Teams. The 42 honorees were chosen based on an updated, calculated, ranking system and now coaches, parents, media and the general public will vote to determine their place on the three teams.
Robby will be honored at the 2014 All-Metro High School Cross-Country Awards Banquet on Wednesday night, December 3, which will be held at the College Football Hall of Fame. This year’s banquet will feature an inspiring keynote speaker, the fastest marathoner in U.S. history, Ryan Hall. Hall will speak to the young athletes about his experiences running in high school, college, and at the Olympics.
