Varsity Girls Soccer Team Wins In Last Minutes Of Game



The varsity girls soccer team closed out their regular season play with a win against Landmark Christian. It was a fairly evenly matched game with both teams unable to convert on scoring opportunities. It was scoreless until there was 15 minutes left in the game and Frances Hamilton (12th) scored on a breakaway after a punt from goalie Lauren Burke (9th). The Lady WolfPack went up 1-0 and played shutout ball for the remainder of the game. In their last eight games, the girls have only allowed two goals while scoring 21 goals. The girls are finishing strong and for the third time in three years are advancing to the state tournament. We will take on Holy Innocents (away) in round one on Friday May 2. Middle School Soccer Team Ties Top Opponent



The Middle School boys soccer team played their best game of the season on Tuesday night with a tie against St. Pius 1-1! St. Pius is undefeated and hadn't been scored on all season.



The defense of Jacob Burkett, Parker Cantrell, Austin Sumter, Simon Sengson, and John Matherne kept the boys in the game. Josh Orr, Matthew Soud, Julian Munoz, and Matthew Sumlin controlled the midfield for the entire second half. Stephen Hellier scored a goal to tie the score with 10 minutes left in the game. The boys are 5-4-2 on the season with their final game being at Marietta Middle School on Thursday.
