Varsity Lacrosse Team Has Big Win On Senior Night
The varsity lacrosse team played to a full WolfPack stadium last night thanks to all the families who came out for senior night. The lacrosse team did not disappoint, beating Whitewater 14 – 4. Sparked on by the energy of announcer Jerry Landers, the boys took an early lead and dominated the entire game. The defense led by senior Noah DiGiorgio (12th) played aggressively all night and goalie Ty McLemore (10th) played outstanding with four saves and only allowing one goal over three periods.
The senior offensive players did not disappoint on senior night. Justin Brendel (12th) had three goals and
two assists, Harrison Weller (12th) and Alex Manning (12th) each added one goal with Alex also providing precision passes for two assists and Braelen Phillips (12th) played well on both ends of the field. In honor of the seniors, underclassmen Jonathan Wood (9th) had four goals and two assists, David Ballew (11th) added three goals and one assist, and Marcus Jones (11th) had two goals. The boys lacrosse team is now 8 -1 and 4 -0 in area play. The next game is April 7 at Carrollton.
Middle School Girls Soccer Team Shuts Out Woodward
On Wednesday the team shut out Woodward 5-0 and improved their season record to 5-4. A strong defensive and offensive performance kept the ball in Whitefield's possession for most of the game. Hannah White (7th) struck first for Whitefield and went on to score two more goals in the game. Macy Kendrick (8th) and Claire Browne (7th) scored the final two goals for the WolfPack.
