Varsity Girls Golf Team Beats Campbell High



The sun was shining once again today on the varsity girls golf team as they scored a victory over Campbell High School 91-105. Sophomore Madison Barnett shot a three over par 35 to lead the Pack and Audrey Barnett (9th), Anna Kate Peterson (10th), and Ali Matthews (12th) played strong supporting roles. Next up: Mt. Pisgah at Horseshoe Bend Golf Course on Wed, April 2 at 5 p.m.



WolfPack Tennis Rolls Over Mount Pisgah



The varsity girls tennis team remains undefeated after traveling to the Country Club of Roswell to beat Mt. Pisgah, 4-1. Senior Annie Sickling prevailed in her singles match winning 6-3, 6-1. Senior Caroline Holliday and junior Megan Schwarzkopf overcame a 2-5 deficit in the first set to win the match 7-6 (7-5), 6-1. Junior Brooke Render and sophomore Megan Smith persevered in a close match winning by a score of 6-4, 6-3. The other point was won by junior Rachel Hicks who was ahead in her singles match when her opponent retired due to illness.



The boys also won their match, 5-0. The singles players dominated all matches with wins by junior Justin Samples (6-2, 6-1), senior Matthew Landry (6-3, 6-0) and senior Bennett Shilling (6-3, 6-0). Senior David Lemasters and junior Jay DeShong secured a decisive doubles win 6-3, 6-1. The final point was secured when sophomore Holden Hosch and freshman Rubin Thomas outlasted their opponents 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-3.



Junior Varsity Lacrosse Extends Record To 5-0



The Whitefield JV lacrosse team beat Mount Paran last night 15 – 5. On defense ninth graders Carson Brown, Brenner McCutcheon, and Connor Callan along with Joseph Schwartz (8th) did a great job protecting goalies Bradley Washington (9th) and Wills McCutcheon (8th) who had a combined 10 saves.



Jonathan Wood (9th) led the scoring with four goals and five assists, followed by William Charles (10th) with three goals, Sid Brendel (9th) two goals and two assists, Carter Dixon (9th) two goals and two assists, Josh Turner (9th) one goal and one assist, and Cole Barber (10th), Mitchell Ryan (9th), and Thomas Joiner(8th) each adding a goal. Our eighth grade boys continue to improve each week and hold their own against high school players from other schools.



A shout out to varsity players, defensemen Noah DiGiorgio (12th), and Sky Dupree (11th); midfielders Justin Brendel (12th) and Marcus Jones (11th); and attacks Harrison Weller (12th) and David Ballew (11th) who joined the team on the sidelines yesterday to encourage these young players in their respective positions.



Middle School Boys Soccer Team Shuts Out Pace



The Middle School boys soccer team continued their winning ways on Thursday by beating Pace Academy 4-0! The defense of Henry Sanchez, Jacob Burkett, Austin Sumtner, Parker Cantrell, Hunter Bilotti, and John Matherne produced their fifth shutout of the season. Josh Orr had three goals and Stephen Hellier had one as well. Simon Sengson and Julian Munoz totally controlled the midfield. This team has now beaten Lovett, Pace, and Westminster all in the first half of the season. The team is now 4-2-1 on the season.
