The varsity tennis team traveled to Strong Rock Christian recently, with both teams chalking up another victory.
The girls completely dominated Strong Rock, only losing two games in five matches. Winning for the WolfPack were singles players junior Rachel Hicks (8-1), senior Kerry Anna Lemasters (8-0), and senior Annie Sickling (8-0). The victorious doubles teams were senior Caroline Holliday/junior Meghan Schwartzkopf winning 8-0 and sophomore Meghan Smith/junior Amanda Braselerio, winning 8-1.
The boys victory was closer with the team match 2-2 after four positions. Singles players senior Matthew Landry and junior Justin Samples fought hard against some very accomplished opponents. Both doubles matches chalked up victories with the team of David Lemasters and Jay DeShong winning 8-4 and the team of sophomore Holden Hosch and freshman Ruben Thomas winning 8-0. Senior Bennett Shilling played the final singles position in a tight match-up which Bennett finally won 8-6, clinching the team victory for the Pack.
