Varsity Boys Soccer
The varsity boys soccer team had a formidable 7-1 victory over Excel on Friday. February 21. Aaron Harges (9th) played striker and proved himself mightily with a hat trick (three goals) and an assist to fellow striker Austin Hoover (11th). Additional scoring from the midfield included Kerry Martin (10th) and John Brody Cantrell (10th) as well as an on goal pin ball deflection caused by a powerful strike by senior Peter Sengson. The defensive stand against Excel included Carter Harrison’s (12th) strong performance in goal. The Pack begins its season 1-1 and 1-0 in area play ahead of hosting rival Walker on Tuesday, February 25, at 4 p.m. at home.
Middle School Lacrosse Team
The Middle School lacrosse team won their first two games over the weekend. All players pulled together for back-to-back wins over Woodward Academy (Final 8-5), and Dunwoody (Final 8-0). Attackman Robert Matherne (7th) and midfielder Jack Charles (8th) had hat-trick goals. Goalie Noah Howard (7th) had a shut-out in the second game. Congratulations to the team for starting the season with two wins.
