The varsity lacrosse team proved their skills and commitment last week, knocking off two tough opponents and securing their reputation as a strong and talented force. Thanks to their tremendous efforts, the team is now ranked number nine in the state across 1A-5A schools.



The WolfPack team took to the road to play 5A Starr’s Mill in a region contest and came away with an 8 – 7 win. The Pack was led by Dallas Darling (12th) with five goals, Alex Manning (11th) with one goal, and Max Rieves (12th) with one goal.



Outstanding defensive, with multiple slap checks and ball take away, was played by Chris Washington (12th), Brennan Saul (12th), Sky Dupree (10th), and Liam Virrill (10th). Not to be outdone, Matt Milburn (12th) was fantastic in goal.



On Friday night, March 21, the team squared off against the Brentwood High School Bruins, an undefeated team which was ranked #2 in Tennessee. The WolfPack prevailed, 9-5, with Whitefield fans cheering them on from the stands. The Bruins’ offense was held in check all game by the tough Whitefield defense led by Chris, Brennan, Sky and goalie. Matt who had multiple saves in goal. Dallas once again led the balanced scoring attack with 3 goals, followed by junior Justin Brendel with 2 goals. Max, Alex, senior Preston Blair, and senior Chandler Reagan had one goal each.



The win gives the Pack a 6-2 record for the season and a #9 ranking in the state computer rating for Georgia 5A-1A. Go PACK!
