Last week the WolfPack was busy with a handful of Metro 10 tournaments to wrap up the Middle School season. Congratulations to both the Middle School baseball and girls soccer teams for making it to their championship rounds following outstanding seasons! Other notable moments from the week include varsity boys soccer winning their first-round state playoff game on Wednesday and varsity track coming away with a first place boys finish and fourth place girls finish at the area track meet in Darlington. We had 20 athletes qualify for the state finals in Rome May 9, 10, and 11.

Lacrosse teams on all levels continue to collect wins and look to finish their season strong as they head into the playoffs this week. Check out the recaps below for more details on these events and more.

On Thursday we also had the exciting opportunity to celebrate the seniors who will be continuing in athletics during their college years! Congratulations to the four athletes that signed on Thursday along with those who are still making decisions to compete at the collegiate level. We’re so proud of you for the hard work you’ve put in to get to this place and are praising God alongside you for the opportunities He’s provided.

The WolfPack schedule begins to slow down now that most of our Middle School seasons have finished. This week we’re cheering on Whitefield athletes in five events, including varsity golf, varsity lacrosse, and varsity boys soccer. We’re excited to see the varsity boys soccer team continue to make a run at their second state championship title on Thursday at St. Ann-Pacelli, while varsity lacrosse begins state playoffs at home on Wednesday against a tough Riverwood opponent. Click here for the full athletic calendar on dates and times of games. Be sure to come out and back the Pack during this important playoff week!!
