The Middle School football team defeated Walker last Thursday, 6-0, in a great defensive struggle. The WolfPack defense was led by the hard-hitting linebacker play of Carter Dixon (8th), Thomas Joiner (7th), and a long-interception return by Mitchell Ryan (8th). On offense the WolfPack scored just before halftime on a pass from quarterback Carson Brown (8th) to tight end Jonathan Wood (8th). Jonathan went up and ripped the ball away from the Walker defensive back. He also had a beautiful punt return for a touchdown which featured an outstanding block from Brenner McCutcheon (8th). Unfortunately, the officials nullified the play with a penalty call. Nevertheless, the WolfPack maintained their composure and came out with the victory. The team's attitude and effort throughout the game was outstanding and the victory was well-deserved.
