The Digital Art and Graphic Design classes provide special opportunities for students to learn and use their skills on the computer in a variety of different programs and technologies. Throughout the year, students will receive instruction in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Publisher, Corel Painter, and iMovie using computers, iPads, and Wacom graphics tablets. Students taking these classes gain marketable skills that can translate into jobs in the real world.

Currently on display in the Upper School lobby are original works of digital art created by the students. The “Celebrating Fall” exhibit showcases their interpretations of fall created in Photoshop. Another opportunity the students have is to design promotional posters for Whitefield events or off-campus events. Lilly David, a member of the Advanced Digital Art class, recently had her design that was created in InDesign, selected for the promotional poster for the Flavors of Fall concerts. Lilly was also selected to design two posters to hang in Hartsfield International Airport Terminal E during the Super Bowl. Her posters will be part of an exhibit that represents all of the NFL teams. Lilly was given the task of creating posters for the Oakland Raiders - one poster representing the team and another representing the city of Oakland. Please watch for these posters when you travel through Terminal E!
