Congratulations to the eighth-grade Spanish students who attained national recognition for taking the 2017 National Spanish Examinations! 



The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades six through 12 and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.



Whitefield students who participated this year include: Anna Ayalew, Brooke Bergeron, Haley Burgess, Anna Cochran, Lilly David, Lindsey Fry, Scott Hellier, Mariana Hough, Isabelle Jordan, Lexi Kantor, Mayah Monthrope, and Chase Watson. As a result of their participation and scores, Whitefield earned a total of one gold, four silver, and two bronze medals along with five honorable mentions. The eighth-grade Spanish students are taught by Opal Anderson-Curling and Conrad Quiros.



Special recognition goes out to Mariana Hough, whose score places her fifth in the state and is the winner of the gold medal. Great job, WolfPack!
