The Fine Arts department has been especially busy as this week introduces a variety of arts activities, performances, experiences and showcases!
The visual art students in all three divisions will be highlighted on April 6 at the Annual Student Art Show held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mrs. Debbie Childree and Middle School art volunteer Ruth Ryder have been hanging student work in Founders Hall and Mrs. Rebecca Brown has been assisted by volunteers Lisa Burnett and Jayne Boswell. Band, orchestra, Lower School chorale, and a jazz combo will provide music to enhance the evening, and delicious food will be available. The Middle School theater students will close the evening with a sneak peak of “Singin’ In the Rain.”
From 9 to 10 a.m. on the morning of April 6, all of Whitefield’s Middle and Upper School performance groups will be featured in a spring concert setting for the student body and faculty. Music students have worked diligently over the past several weeks to prepare enjoyable and excellent selections. The awards for juried artwork will be handed out at this assembly, also.
Arts Days are going to be celebrated in the coming weeks as well as recitals, concerts, and performances. Please read the full calendar of arts events and plan to come, enjoy, and engage in God’s wonderful creativity on display at Whitefield!
