Sophomore Kaleb Brooks earned the rank of Eagle Scout on Sept. 13. He is a member of The Westminster School Boy Scout Troop 197.
Kaleb began his Scouting career in first grade as a Cub Scout in Pack 226 at the former Heiskell School, where he received Arrow of Light, the highest rank in Cub Scouts. He completed his Eagle Scout project on May 14, 2016, by building paintball bunkers at Camp Westminster with the help of fellow Whitefield sophomores William Weston, Dylan Mclean, Jovoni Simon, and Noah Dryden.
Kaleb became the first member of his troop to be elected to the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's national honor society. He has also attended National Youth Leadership Training and has served in several leadership roles within his troop, including den chief, chaplain's aide, and Order of the Arrow representative.
Some of his favorite things about Scouting are traveling to Japan for the World Jamboree and attending Seabase high adventure camp.
