The Middle School 7th/8th grade football team hosted North Cobb Christian (coming in undefeated) on Thursday, September 17. The WolfPack played well on both sides of the ball to win a tightly contested game, 14-6.
The first drive of the game took the majority of the first quarter and was hallmarked by strong running from Eric Little, Jackson Lewis, and Danny Megathlin. The drive was capped off by a touchdown by Danny, leaving Whitefield up 6-0.
After a North Cobb score to tie the game the WolfPack went back on the offensive. The second scoring drive was highlighted by precise passing by Micah Smith, resulting in receptions of 20+ yards by Nicholas Ryder and a touchdown reception by Lewis Brogan. Danny earned the two-point conversion and Whitefield was up 14-6.
North Cobb came into the contest with a record of 2-0 and having scored over 20 points in each of their first two games. The WolfPack defense played outstanding across the board and held the Eagles to six points. A great win for the Pack and a great start to the season at 2-0.
