Congratulations to Whitefield alumnus Tim Morris (’03) who was recently named
Director of Player Development for the University of Nevada’s men’s basketball program
“We are very excited to add Tim to our coaching staff,” reported Head Coach Eric Musselman in a KOLO Channel 8 news story. “His background of coaching at the division one level, as well as working in the SEC, playing in the Pac-12 and playing professionally is a huge asset for our program.”
Coincidentally, Nevada’s team mascot is the Wolf Pack.
“Frankly, I am not at all surprised by the success and recent promotion of Tim Morris. Tim is an extremely sharp and competent young man. I have always been impressed with his mind, work ethic, and level of professionalism,” said Tyrone Johnson. “Tim was an incredible student athlete at Whitefield Academy, and it blesses me to see that he is making good on his God-given talents as a young man.”
In addition to coaching basketball, Tim is also in the process of completing his PHD at the University of Alabama.
