The Pack came out strong to earn a win for the final game of the year in a rescheduled game against Landmark Christian. The WolfPack played to a packed house, winning 5-3. The weather was cool and the energy was electric. Pre-game, the eighth graders were recognized for their "call up" to JV and varsity baseball next year. Coach Michael Bailey, head varsity coach, and Matt Olson (12th) who will play college baseball next year, shook hands with each player at home plate, welcoming them to the next level. The eighth grade class included Parker McKinney, West Peterson, Luke McLemore, Russell Bell, Zach Justice, Carson Sanders, Luke Peterson, Alex Eaton, and Donovan Pierce.

The game was tight until the Pack opened it up in the fifth inning to lead 5-2. The Pack pitching was superb, only giving up two walks and five hits for the game. Starter Parker McKinney (8th), followed by Carson Sanders (8th) in the middle,  then West Peterson (8th) as closer,  set the tone for the defense. Their poise and control was peaking for the home crowd. The bats got off to a slow start but heated up quickly. The Pack had nine total hits. Parker, Carson, and Louis Brogan (7th) led, going 2-3 each. Luke and Parker had crushing doubles to help put the Pack on top for good. Russell and West both got on base twice with a walk and hit each in critical segments with runners in scoring position.

Defensively, Carson had a great catch at third and Danny Megathlin (7th) caught a high fly ball in deep left. Russell threw two runners out stealing to second from behind the "dish."

A great finish to a season where each game was a battle to an earned win. The Pack is ready to work hard in the off-season.
