The cross-country team traveled to Clinton Farms this past Saturday to compete in the Atlanta Classic. With favorable temperatures the JV team started off the day well with four out of five runners setting new personal records for the season. Parker Cantrell (9th) led the Pack with a 21:32 time followed closely by classmate Hunter Bilotti (9th) with a 21:42 time. Rounding out the JV team were Anderson Elmore (12th), John Brody Cantrell (11th) and Austin Hoover (12th).
The next team to complete was the varsity girls team which had a stellar day. All five girls who ran set a new personal record for the season! Grace Kistulinec (9th) came up with a 21:25 (PR) time followed by Gabby Boswell (12th) with a 23:13 (PR) time. Maggie Heiskell (9th) was on her heels at 23:25 (PR). Ryan Llewellyn (9th) and Whitney Merkle (12th) were also close behind. Way to go girls!
The varsity boys team was without their captain, Robby Keough, who was sorely missed. However, four of the seven runners set new personal records. Brooks Merkle, a freshman, led the way with a 18:22 (PR). Jake Fikse (12th) was next with a 18:36, followed by Kerry Martin (11th), Nicholas Harris (9th), Kalen Tavassoli (11th), Brian Pickens (10th) and Brooks Bynum (11th) respectively.
