The varsity baseball team beat Trion in five innings Tuesday, 10-0. The win punctuates the Pack being named the #10 team in the state in the latest Private School single A Power Rankings. Bailey Combs (12th) pitched a no-hitter and the Pack bats were on fire again with a home run, a triple, and four doubles, dominating the Bulldogs for another region victory.
Offensively the Pack was led by Sam Fuller (10th), who was two-for-three at the plate with a triple and two RBIs; Bradley Davidson (12th), who was two-for-three with a double and two RBIs; Matt Olson (12th), who was one-for-three with a double and two RBIs; and Jimmy McCarthy (10th), who was two-for-three with one RBI. Bailey added a homerun in the fourth inning, giving him three home runs in the past week! John Schwartz (11th) added a double; Ryan Wesley (12th) added a double and an RBI; and Will Brogan (11th) added an RBI.
Bailey got the win on the mound, pitching a no-hitter in five strong innings and allowing only one walk and striking out eight Bulldog batters.
The Pack moves to 9-2 on the season and are ranked #10 in the Power Rankings which is used to determine state playoff seeding. The Pack play South Cobb at home Thursday at 5 p.m. Go Pack!!
