The WolfPack returned home last Friday night, March 20, to battle the Knights of River Ridge - outduelling their region opponent with an overwhelming 18-0 outcome. The Pack started quickly with a face-off snag and ensuing goal by Jonathan Wood (10th) in the first minute of play. Whitefield led 11-0 at halftime, so per GHSA rule; the second half was played without time stoppage to provide mercy to the underpowered Knights.
The offensive onslaught was led with eight goals by William Charles (11th) and four from David Ballew (12th). One goal each was tallied by Jonathan, Marcus Jones (12th), Carter Dixon (10th), Carson Brown (10th), Thomas Joiner (9th), and Preston Bates (10th). Leading assists were David with five and Jack Charles (9th) with three.
The WolfPack defense kept the Knights at bay the entire contest. There were no shots on goal, because the hungry Pack snagged a season high 23 ground balls. Leading the ground force was Sky Dupree (12th) with four, Brenner McCutcheon (10th) and Michael McCarthy (9th) with three each, and William, Carson, and Jack - all with two each.
