Thirty-six Whitefield students in third-eighth grades participated in the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Math Olympics on March 6 at Bridgeway Christian Academy in Alpharetta. Students were selected to participate based on scores on an in-class test.
At the event, each student took four rounds of timed tests in the area of Computation or Reasoning. In Computation, students complete addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication problems on their grade level using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages. The Reasoning section involves solving problems with missing integers, completing a list of number sequences, and other problems which involve logic. Congratulations to the award winners below and all those who participated.
