The Pack bats came alive chalking up 16 hits to earn the win 11-7 against the highly-ranked Mount Paran Eagles. Thanks to a huge day at the plate for Bailey Combs (12th), and superb pitching from Matt Olson (12th) and Ryan Wesley (12th), the Pack pulled off the upset of the #1 ranked team in the state.
Offensively the Pack was led by Bailey who was three-for -three at the plate with four RBIs and a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning to put the game on ice. Nile Ball (12th) was two-for-three with a double and two RBIs, John Schwartz (11th) was three-for-four, and Ryan, Matt Olson (12th), and Bradley Davidson (12th) each added one RBI. Luke Miltner (11th) added two hits.
Matt pitched well the first four innings and managed to keep the game tied against a very strong
hitting team. Ryan got the win on the mound, pitching three strong innings at the end of the game and allowing only two hits. Ryan had six strikeouts to finish off the Eagles.
The Pack move to 6-2 on the season and play North Cobb Christian at home Friday at 5 p.m. in a region contest. Go Pack!!
