Twenty-four Cub Scouts and 12 dads from Whitefield Academy's Boy Scout Troop 554 embarked on an adventurous zip lining outing at the Historic Banning Mills in Whitesburg, GA this past weekend. On tap were dutch oven cooking lessons by Scoutmaster Sammy Powell, bonfires that one could see from space, and practicing the specific Scout Law of being brave by jumping off of a 400 feet tall "Big Daddy" tower and reaching 60 mph for 1500 feet! Next up, caving in Raccoon Mountain Caverns, North Carolina.
