The opening of basketball season proved successful as the Pack earned victory after victory. Here are the details of this weekend's wins.
Varsity Boys Basketball Team Wins Two Over Weekend
On Friday November 14, the Whitefield Academy varsity boys basketball team completed a game against Sacred Heart Catholic school in Anniston, Alabama. The final score was Whitefield 83, Sacred Heart 56. Sophomore point guard Isaiah Hart led the way with 21 points, followed by freshman Myles Belyeu with 18 points. Junior Brendon Myles also chipped in with a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.
On Saturday evening the team traveled to SW Dekalb High School to play in a tournament against Henry County. The WolfPack started the game out slow in the first quarter and were down 6-0, but got together and went on a scoring run to tie the game at 8 a piece at the end on the quarter. The team kept the momentum going into the second quarter and by half time was leading Henry County 31-22. In the second half the WolfPack kept their lead and never looked back. In the end Whitefield won 73-56.
Many contributed in Saturday's scoring, but leading the team in points were sophomore Isaiah Hart with 21, junior Brendon Myles with 18, and senior Courtney Alexander with 11. Leading the team in rebounds were Brendon with 16, Courtney with 13, and junior TJ Carter with 11.

The varsity girls basketball team faced Providence Christian on Friday, November 14, beating them 59-19.

Middle School Girls Basketball Team Wins Opening Game
Saturday night marked the start of Whitefield Academy Middle School girls basketball in a North Atlanta Metro League away game against King's Academy. The Pack was led by returning starters and eighth graders Shelby Wingate, Grayce Guthrie, Hannah White, Emma Dew, Ansleigh Brown, and new addition at point guard, Anna Grace Kwon. The 32-28 victory was highlighted by Shelby's 23 points including three 3 pointers. Shelby, Hannah, and Anna Grace led the Pack in steals. Grayce, Emma, and Shelby led the Pack in rebounds.
Whitefield Blue Team Beats Kings Academy
Whitefield’s Blue Team (eighth-grade boys) started their season strong on Saturday night against King’s Academy in Woodstock, Ga. The Pack’s strong full-court defense held King’s Academy to seven first half points. West Peterson, Julian Munoz, Kaleb Brooks, and Zach Justice combined for seventeen steals in the game, and West led scorers with 15 points. The final score was Whitefield, 48, to King’s Academy, 31. Nice job, Whitefield Blue Team!
