The sixth/seventh grade basketball team moved its record to 4-2 after a 35-21 victory against Atlanta Classical Christian Academy on Saturday, December 3. Whitefield started slowly and trailed 8-3 midway through the first quarter. After turning up the defensive pressure, the Pack scored 28 unanswered points to put the game away, holding the opponent scoreless for over two quarters of play and finishing with 20 steals. Seventh-graders Jimmy McCarthy (12 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 4 blocks) and Jackson Hofmann (6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals) controlled the inside while seventh-graders Sid Brendel (6 points, 7 steals) and Trae Terrell (5 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks) led the way on the perimeter. The team closes out the first-half of the season with a game at ELCA on Friday.
