The Whitefield Academy Marching Band recently competed in the 30th annual LaFayette Marching Classic, receiving an overall score of Excellence and bringing home three trophies and three plaques of excellence for their 2011 "Video Games Theme Songs" show. The Marching Classic is an annual event showcasing marching bands from across the state, including bands from Bryan County, Cherokee County, Cobb County, Coweta County, Fulton County, Washington County, and Whitfield County.
