The JV football team traveled to Roswell recently for a twilight game against Fellowship Christian. It was all Whitefield as the WolfPack rolled to a 58-27 win, ending the season. Behind a stellar running game led by freshman Nile Ball and an effective air attack from freshman Everett Pollard, the Pack amassed the most total offensive yardage of the season. Sophomore Justin Brendel was effective on both sides of the ball with multiple tackles and catches including two touchdowns.
Freshman Jaylen Hudson stepped up on the defensive line with key tackles to stop the Fellowship offense, followed by multiple tackles from junior Steven Lemasters. In the defensive backfield, junior Carter Fiveash had back-to-back interceptions in the fourth quarter to squash any offensive gas the Fellowship team had in left in its tank. On special teams, junior Sam Perley recovered an onside kick in the first half to round out a dominant effort by the JV team.
