The Middle School soccer teams brought home three victories last week, prevailing over their opponents with solid offensive and defensive play.
The Middle School boys soccer team won their second game of the season, 4-1, against Westminster on Wednesday, March 20. Josh Orr (7th) had 2 goals, while Stephen Hellier (7th) and William Hellier (8th) each added a goal. Daniel Justice (8th), Austin Sumter (7th), Parker Cantrell (7th), and Aaron Harges (8th) played great defensively!
The Middle School girls soccer team followed with a victory of their own against Westminster on Thursday, March 21. The ladies came out determined to score first and they did exactly that. In the seventh minute of play, Macy Kendrick (7th) scored the first of her two goals with a beautiful shot that found the back of the goal. Macy quickly scored again, followed by an impressive goal by Hannah White (6th), putting the Pack up 3-0 at the half. A strong defense anchored by Katherine Martin (8th), Carson Llewellyn (6th), and Lauren Burke (8th) held the Wildcats to very few shots on goal for the entire game. One final goal by Ryan Llewellyn (7th) in the second half sealed the game at a 4-0 win for the ladies, evening out their record at 2-2-2.
The Middle School boys soccer team closed out the week with a win against Marietta Sixth Grade Academy, 6-0. Julian Munoz (6th), Stephen, and Josh each had two goals. John Matherne (7th) played great in goal, recording a shutout for the WolfPack. The boys now have a 3-4 record on the season.
