The Middle School track team competed against Holy Innocents at a meet on Thursday, March 14.
For the girls team, Marie Schmitz (7th) captured two 2nd place spots, with a 6:43 time in the 1600 meter and a 2:59 time in the 800 meter. The 4 x 100 relay team of Audrey Grand’Pierre (8th), Olivia Nicholas (8th), Samara Huggins (8th), and Amira Williams (8th) had a second place finish. Sixth grader Ansleigh Brown earned a 6th place finish and Evana Darby (6th) earned an 8th place finish in the discus.
Carson Brown (8th) earned two 1st place spots for the boys in the shot put and discus (141’2”). Jonathan Wood (8th) placed 1st in the 100m with a 12.90 finish. Also earning a 1st place finish for the boys was the 4 x 400 relay team of Jonathan, Carter Dixon (8th), Sid Brendel (8th), and Carson. Carson also had a 2nd place finish in the 110 hurdles (18.70). K.J. Cainion (7th) also added to the team points, earning 4th place in 100 meter with a 13.25 finish.
