Whitefield alumni gathered together during the Christmas season to reconnect and reminisce at two alumni parties in December.
About 75 graduates from 2008 - 2012 enjoyed a feast of Jim'N Nicks barbeque then settled down to watch the annual faculty vs. alumni basketball game. Alex Livingston, Middle School history teacher, was the "Howard Cosell" of the game, calling the play-by-play action with his classic humor and wit. Athletic Director Lynn Dupree was the game referee.
The faculty team ulimately pulled out a win, inching by the alumni team by only a few points. The faculty team included Chris McDonald, Steven Wright, Danny Ryan, Kyle Justice, Matt Peterson, and Jesse Briete. Some of the alumni players were Conrad Quiros ('09), Madison Garrett ('09), Hugh Ratigan ('08), Josh Fore ('08), Jack East ('08), Sean Branch ('09), Aaron Snell ('08), Aaron McLeod ('09), and Josh Cleaves ('09).
Sean won a new IPod touch during an alumni raffle.
About 35 graduates from 1997-2007 gathered at Cafe Intermezzo in Buckhead for a night of dessert and socializing. The alumni enjoyed made-to-order crepes, oreo cheesecake, red velvet cake, and carrot cake. Faculty members Rebecca Brown, Steve Hellier, Kyle Justice, Christopher McDonald, Lou Nardi, and Amy Seefeldt also joined the party.
