The school year may be drawing to a close, but the action in athletics is still running high!
Last week our varsity lacrosse team played in the first round of the state playoff tournament and lost a close battle 10-9 ending what was a terrific season for a team who captured the school’s first ever region lacrosse championship. Congrats to Coach Hunter, his staff, and all the boys for a season well played!
The boys soccer team moved one step closer in their pursuit of the state title last Thursday! The team defeated St. Anne-Pacelli in the second round of playoffs with a 1-0 victory in Columbus, Georgia. You can find the recap from this intense competition and others below.
This week we’ll continue to pursue some intense state competition with our varsity track and field team and varsity boys soccer team! Varsity boys soccer competes on Wednesday in the state semi-finals at home against crosstown rival Walker. This game will decide who will play in this year's state championship game next week. You don’t want to miss this game! Come decked out in your navy colors and join us at 7 p.m. to cheer on the Pack. Admission will be $7 for all fans over the age of five. Unfortunately, PackBacker memberships are not valid for state playoff entry.
Our varsity track team members will be traveling to Berry College at the end of this week for their state competition on May 9, 10, and 11. Good luck to each of the athletes competing this week in Rome, Georgia!
While track and field and boys soccer are the last two teams competing in the state playoffs, that isn’t the only action this week in athletics. You’ll have the opportunity to catch some early season football action as the WolfPack plays a spring scrimmage game against Strong Rock Christian this Friday evening starting at 7 p.m. Admission is free, so come back the Pack!
See you soon,
