Last week the WolfPack earned a handful of big victories. Be sure to congratulate members of all four soccer teams, varsity girls golf, varsity tennis, and Middle School baseball on their success. You can read about these competitions and more in the recaps below!
Varsity track had another strong showing at Westminster on Saturday and will compete again at Pace this Wednesday as they make final preparations for the area meet up at Darlington next week. Don’t forget to wish our Middle School track and field athletes best of luck today as they compete in the Metro 10 track and field championships at Mt. Pisgah.
A shout-out is also due to our varsity tennis teams who have qualified for the region tournament again this year and are looking to secure a spot in the state playoffs this week! Congratulations to these teams for their hard work and success this season. We wish you the best of luck in Rome this week! The varsity baseball team will also start region play this week and have earned home field advantage in their first round game against Hebron Christian tonight at Whitefield Academy. Be sure to come cheer on the Pack to a big victory!
As the playoffs approach and the intensity of the competition rises, let’s not forget the bigger purpose that we have to share Christ with others by how we play, coach, and cheer for our WolfPack. This week especially, a sacrifice to lay aside our fleshly desires and live out who He has called us to be seems far too small compared to the eternal sacrifice He made for us two thousand years ago. I pray the full weight of what we remember on Good Friday is carried with us in the weeks to come as we enter the playoffs.
I wish you all a Happy Easter with your family this coming weekend!
In Him,
Danny Ryan
