After their recent learning unit on Helen Keller, Whitefield second-grade students have worked diligently this past month on their service project - serving their families, neighbors, and community with lemonade stands and other fundraisers - to raise more than $3,000 for Vision Rehabilitation Services (VRS).
VRS is a local nonprofit organization that offers vision rehabilitation services to individuals of all ages who are low vision, blind, or deaf and blind. Shown with the second grade are Kay Eller and Jamie Marks, with her guide dog Frenchie, both with VRS.
