Congratulations to the Whitefield Spanish students who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2018 National Spanish Examinations! Students from Whitefield Academy earned one gold medal, four silver medals, and thirteen bronze medals, along with seven honorable mentions.
The National Spanish Examinations are online, standardized assessment tools for grades 6-12, given voluntarily by over 4000 teachers throughout the United States to measure proficiency and achievement of students who are studying Spanish as a second language. The National Spanish Examinations are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 160,000 students participating in 2018. Whitefield Academy students have a long history of high achievement on these exams and are taught by Spanish teachers, Señora Curling and Señor Lezcano.
