The Upper School experienced a full day of art during Arts Day on April 11.
The morning kicked off with a high-energy performance by Calo Gitano Dance Academy, the largest flamenco dance academy in Georgia. Students learned the origin of Flamenco and a few moves of their own. Afterward, they heard from Chinua Hawk, an Atlanta based singer/songwriter familiar to many students for his performances at Buckhead Church and singing the National Anthem before Atlanta United soccer games. Accompanied by Joni and Jamie on the piano, he brought down the house!
During the afternoon, students rotated through different artistic sessions of their choosing, with offerings such as:
Students also had the option to travel off-campus for a tour of Anne O Art Gallery, Landsell Gallery, or the Fox Theater.
