The Whitefield Legacy Gala held on April 7 served as a special time to honor Whitefield's past, celebrate its present, and build its future. Members of the Whitefield community, from parents to teachers to alumni, gathered at The Fairmont for a time of fellowship and a delicious dinner while commemorating Whitefield's legacy.
Christian comedian Tripp Crosby served as the emcee for the evening. Alumni Everett Joiner ('13), Samara Huggins ('18), and Megan Beard ('00) shared what Whitefield has meant to them over the years. Whitefield parent John Charles also shared the impact that Whitefield has made academically and spiritually on his two sons and their entire family.
Retiring Lower School Principal Jeannie Brostrand was honored for her 16 years of service and dedication to Whitefield Academy through several special video tributes and a standing ovation. At the end of the evening as the Leaving a Legacy capital campaign for a permanent Lower School building was launched, the Whitefield board of trustees officially announced that the building will be named Brostrand Hall in her honor.
Thank you to our Gala committee and attendees for making this an evening for the Whitefield history books!
