Welcome back, WolfPack! I hope you each enjoyed a restful Thanksgiving break filled with great memories!

In the week before break, Whitefield competed in 12 athletic events. The most anticipated was Friday’s varsity football game, in which the Pack traveled to Athens to compete against Prince Avenue Christian School in the second round of the GHSA state playoffs. WolfPack fans traveled to support their team, filling the stands in white-out gear, and cheered the Pack on through a hard-fought game. Though we ultimately fell to Prince Avenue, our varsity football players gave us a lot to be proud of. Congratulations to the varsity football team for an incredible season. Your hard work and dedication has been evident throughout this year, and we’ve been proud to cheer on a team that fights to do their best and honor Christ. This year you elevated our football program to new heights while also building the foundation for even greater successes in the future. Congratulations, seniors and coaches, for leading this team further than it’s gone in the last eight years! We’re very proud of you.

I would also like to thank the many parent volunteers who have worked hard to ensure our team is well-supported throughout the season. Thank you for organizing theme nights, inviting food trucks, volunteering as chain crew, staffing our concession stand, operating our scoreboard, running our PA system and much more! Your dedication and love for this team does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful to have a community that works hard on behalf of our athletes.

On the sidelines of each of our football games, you could also find spirited cheerleaders, pep band members, SWAT team members, and athletic trainers that were working hard to support the Pack through each victory and challenge. Thank you to the members of each of these groups for your diligence and encouragement. You enable our team to be the best it can possibly be, and we’re so grateful for you.

The week of November 13 also held our last Middle School regular season tennis match, during which the boy’s team ended with an 8-1 regular season record! Next we’re looking forward to hosting and competing in the Metro10 championship tennis tournament, which will be held this Thursday. Basketball season is off to a great start, as our varsity boys basketball team claimed a victory in their first competition, winning 55-41 over Cumberland Christian. For more highlights from our recent athletic events, check out the recaps below.

This week holds wrestling, swimming, basketball, and tennis. Click here for the full athletic schedule, and mark your calendars now for our first home varsity basketball games of the season, which will take place this Saturday! Middle School teams will begin playing at 9 a.m., and varsity teams will follow at 2:30 p.m. Join us as we take on North Cobb Christian and Grady High School!

Looking forward to cheering for the Pack with you this week!
