World-renowned author and illustrator John Hendrix visited Whitefield's Lower School on Jan. 19. He first visited the PreK4, kindergarten, and first-grade classes, where his most recent faith-based book, "Miracle Man: The Story of Jesus," was read aloud to the students. He then spoke to the second- through fourth-grade students and shared with them about his journey to becoming an illustrator and the power of perseverance. He even demonstrated some improvisational illustrations for them.

After his time with the Lower School students, Mr. Hendrix met briefly with the Upper School AP art students and shared tips on how to pursue a career as an illustrator.
