On September 14, Marcia Gaddis, Whitefield's alumni and special events manager, read her story “Coats for Winter” to the kindergarten classes.
Marcia visited the classes to help them kick off their service project, “Megan’s Closet,” which begins on Monday, September 18. The kindergarten classes will collect gently-used children’s coats for two weeks to give to the less fortunate.
The service project is named in memory of Marcia’s daughter, Megan.
