These are exciting times at Whitefield in the arts!
Last week, we celebrated the visual artists with the opening of the Lower, Middle, and Upper School Student Art Show on April 6. The event also featured many small music ensembles and culminated with a performance of a portion of the upcoming Middle School play, “Singin’ in the Rain Jr.” Click here to see the list of art show winners and honorable mentions.
Earlier in the day at the Arts Chapel, we were treated to performances by the Middle School Select chorus and all the student bands and orchestras.
On April 7, the Lower School celebrated the arts with their Lower School Art Day, a day filled with art projects, performances, and activities. Click here to read all about it and see photos.
This week, the Middle and Upper Schools will celebrate Arts Day on Wednesday and will not have academic classes. Instead, the Middle School students will go on visual art-related field trips for the first half of the day followed by performances in the afternoon featuring dance, theater, and chorus from professional performance groups. The Upper School will remain on campus with performances from professionals in the arts in the morning, and then students will then participate in small workshops of their choice in the afternoon.

Lastly, a huge thank you to all the parents involved in making these events possible for our students! We could not do it without you!
