Congratulations to the varsity girls and boys tennis teams which both claimed their second consecutive region title. The teams each played two matches over the course of the tournament at South Fulton Tennis Center.
Victories for the girls first and second matches against First Presbyterian and Paideia were both clinched by number three singles player Annie Sickling (10th); the number one doubles team of Caroline Holliday (10th) and Colleen Cosey (11th); and the number two doubles team of Caroline Langella (9th) and Megan Schwarzkopf (9th).
For the boys, the first match against Strong Rock was won by number one singles player Kyle Childree (12th), number two singles player Matt McGill (12th), and the number two doubles team of Tommy Keough (12th) and Bennett Shilling (10th). Both Kyle and Matt also won first in the second match against ELCA, and the third win for the team's overall victory was the number one doubles team of Cole Enright (12th) and Matthew Landry (10th).
Both teams were undefeated in the region tournament and proceed as the number one seed for their region in the state playoffs.
