Junior Varsity Baseball Moves To 4-1Junior Varsity Baseball Moves To 4-1

The junior varsity baseball team played at home on Monday, March 28, and defeated the Walker Wolverines 12-5.  The Pack had a balanced attack at the plate with all 10 batters getting a hit or an RBI.  


Freshman Russell Bell was 2-4 with a double and two RBIs; freshman Carson Sanders had an RBI; sophomore Coleman Miller went 1-2 with a double and an RBI; and Jake Lewis was1-3 with a triple and three RBIs. Sophomore Casey Bowman was 1-2; eighth grader Ian Kennedy was 1-1 with an RBI; sophomore Patrick Rich was 1-4; junior Robert Boyd was 1-3 with a triple; eighth grader Lewis Brogan was 1-2 with two RBIs; and sophomore Malcolm Griffin was 1-2 with three runs.  All players contributed to the total team effort on offense.  Jake had the big hit of the game in the bottom of the fifth with the Pack up 7-4, clearing the loaded bases with a triple to right field to put the game away for Whitefield.



Alex Carver (10th) came one out short of pitching a complete game going 6 2/3 innings giving up one earned run and striking out five Wolverines.  Jake came in and got the final out in the seventh inning.



The junior varsity team plays next on Wednesday, March 30, at Walker.
