Cameron Thornton (12th) turned in another winning performance recently at the Cobb County Championship, finishing first in the 800m finals in 1:52.71, just .27 second short of the meet record.
Several members of Whitefield's varsity track team participated in the event. Freshman Robby Keough set a new PR in the 3200m in 10:20.04, finishing 13th. Freshman Whitney Merkle finished 17th in the 3200m in 14:06.91, and sophomore Katie Kassis had a season best time of 16:20.65 in the 3200m.
