On Monday, May 11, Whitefield Middle and Upper School students attended the 2014-2015 Yearbook Assembly to learn the 2014-2015 yearbook theme and to collect their yearbooks.
Yearbook Teacher Alyson Powell introduced the yearbook staff: editor Hannah Brown and assistant editor Kelsey Butler, and a staff comprised of Olivia Nandkeolyar, Ethan Powell, Christina Nicks, Bailey Koenig, Louise Schwaerter, Olivia Viergever, and Sadie Harmon.
Senior student and editor Hannah Brown announced that the theme of the 2014-2015 Yearbook is "#follow," chosen because of its relevance to today's students and their interest in social media as well as the importance of choosing to follow Christ. The theme allowed the yearbook staff to use elements of social media such as hashtags, Throwback Thursday, and actual Instagram photos in the design and layout of the book.
The yearbook was dedicated to Whitefield's Head Librarian Elizabeth Qualls, who was mentioned as someone who always has a smile to share with those around her, and someone that the students are always able to talk to and rely on. This year's teacher spotlights highlighted Upper School teacher Tim Unsicker, Middle School teacher DeAnna Baldwin, and Lower School teacher Laurel Runager.
