The Middle School girls team defeated Fellowship Christian, 3-1, yesterday and continues to find their stride and gel as a team. After numerous near-miss shots on goal in the first half, Carson Llewelyn was the first to find the back of the net with a beautiful PK shot to the upper left corner. The ladies then scored on a corner kick and Anna Grace Kwon owned the final goal off Carson's assist. The Paladins were able to sneak one goal past the Pack defense but rarely had possession of the ball in the match.
The Middle School boys soccer team had a scoreless, and mostly lifeless, first half, then responded by dominating the second half, scoring three goals and winning the physical and tactical battle in the midfield. Anchoring the defense were Colson Gulledge (8th) and Walker Smith (7th) at keeper who each came up huge to quell Paladin opportunities.
The scoring was highlighted by a 30-yard blast from defense by Jack Krahel (6th). Also contributing goals were Matthew Sumlin (8th) and Simon Sengson (8th). The game ended in a 3-0 shut out.
